Biology for Engineers is designed to provide comprehensive coverage of all fundamental aspects and major topics of biology. The book serves as an introductory resource for all engineering and other non-major undergraduates and provides an up-to-date coverage of concepts in a clear and logical format. It effectively combines the biological principles and mechanisms with experimental insights and engineering perspectives for comprehensive and up-to-date integration of multidisciplinary approach. With its content distributed across 20 chapters, the book is thoughtfully designed to be an appealing resource specifically tailored for all undergraduate students. It aims to ignite their interest in biology while simultaneously assisting faculty members in making biology teaching engaging and effective for non-major students.

  • Fulfils the basic biology requirements outlined in AICTE syllabus
  • Logically designed content distributed in 20 chapters. Unit I focus on cellular aspects, including diversity, biochemistry, genetics, reproduction, and metabolism. Unit II covers the physiological systems of human biology. Finally, Unit III explores various aspects that impact humans, such as microbiology, food, nutrition, genetic engineering, environment, and technology
  • Concepts presented in a reader-friendly manner with illustrations, diagrams, and tables.
  • Chapters interspersed with Interesting Facts and Experimental Insights to prevent monotony and sustain reader interest
  • Chapter-end Summary and Exercises to refresh and evaluate the learning.
