S.C. Pilli
Sharanabasava C. Pilli, M.E. (University of Roorkee), Ph.D. (IISc), has over 33 years of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Presently, he is Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He has guided over 20 M.Tech. theses and 5 Ph.Ds. He has worked in various capacities as Principal, member of board of studies in Mechanical Engineering of Goa University, VTU, Belagavi, Chairman of board of studies in Mechanical Engineering of VTU, Belagavi. He was member of Academic Council and Executive Council of VTU, Belagavi. Prof. Pilli has edited and authored books in Engineering Drawing, Machine Drawing, Design Data Hand Book, and Machine Design. He was also a visiting professor of ISTE and resource person for EDUSAT classes of VTU in Control Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
N. Balasubramanya
N. Balasubramanya is Professor & Dean (Civil and CTM) at Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He is a renowned author of several textbooks such as Hydrology & Irrigation Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Computer Aided Design Laboratory, Hydraulic Structures & Irrigation Design Drawing. He is the recipient of IET Best Teacher Award (Chhattisgarh). He also secured 7th Rank in his B.E. in Civil Engineering. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Indian Institute of Science on Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering. He has more than 25 international journal publications to his credit till date. Apart from an excellent research track record, he is also an excellent academician possessing a vast experience of more than 37 years.
